Transitional Townhome

With its engaging contemporary design and lighter-than-air palette, this newly built, three-storey townhome offers its owners a haven of tranquility in the midst of Toronto’s Deer Park neighbourhood. The bright, transitional interiors were inspired by a unique design brief: To create spaces that were a dramatic departure from the richly coloured, staunchly traditional house the owners were coming from. Romina crafted spare, luminous rooms that offer luxurious comfort via sleek contemporary furnishings along with ethereal layers of pattern and texture. Playful lighting was peppered throughout the home — a mix of vintage finds and new fixtures by Kelly Wearstler. A few select antique pieces create a pleasing friction, and one-of-a-kind commissioned artworks by local artists Manny Neubacher and Johanna Reynolds help bring the rooms to life.
